Over the past few years, we’ve seen fun cuts like the “lob” and the bixie (the ultimate cool-girl blend of a bob and pixie) gain popularity, and they’re still going strong in 2026, with celebrities like Rosalía and Zendaya putting their stamps on the respective styles. The versatility of short haircuts is on full display this year, too, as they continue to evolve with other re-emerging trends, like the side part.
If you’re feeling the urge to make a change, consider the likes of Olandria, who surprised with both a micro-bob and a pixie in the early months of the year; Margot Robbie, who debuted a lob (and broken bangs!) at the Chanel fall-winter ready-to-wear show; or Jessica Chastain, who traded her signature long locks for a sleek, chin-length bob ahead of the Breakthrough Prize Ceremony.
Of course, there are so many styles of bobs and chops to choose from, and as the signs of summer begin to peek around the corner, we’re sure to see many more refreshing cuts in the months to come.
