Gone are the days when models had to dress like a blank canvas: This new crop of faces is embracing their personal style and expressing their individuality through their fashion choices—be it jeans and a tee or a statement dress. Every month, Vogue will dive into the stylish wardrobes of a model of the moment to see what they’re wearing off the runways. Consider these the perfect references to pin to your seasonal mood board—because is there anything cooler than model-off-duty style?
This month, meet Jacqui Hooper, a 21-year-old London-based model currently signed with Next Worldwide. Growing up in Southampton, U.K., Hooper was scouted at—of all things!—a reading festival (while studying forensic psychology at Chichester University, no less). The rest is history: Hooper has since stayed booked and busy, starring in campaigns for Celine and Chloé, and walking during Fashion Month on catwalks for labels Prada, McQueen, and Burberry, among others.
But it’s not just her impressive resumé worth taking note of: Hooper has also cultivated a distinct sense of style for her off-days. In her eclectic wardrobe, you’ll find a healthy dose of hot designer items (Chloé Paddington bags! Victoria Beckham sunnies!) and unique vintage finds (she loves a cowboy boot and cheeky graphic tee). Call it high-low dressing at its coolest.
Want to dress like a top model, too? Below, Hooper answers Vogue’s model questionnaire—and shares her discovery story, her favorite assignment to date, and what’s currently in her closet.
What’s your modeling discovery story?
I was at Reading Festival in the U.K. to go see Lana Del Rey with my best friend. I had a feeling that it was going to be a life-changing day, simply because I love Lana, and that day did change my life—just in a way I could have never imagined!
Do you have any stories from living in a model apartment?
I’ve actually never lived in a model apartment! But I have shared many fashion week hotel rooms with Bebe Parnell! Especially during my first season.
What was your first runway show?
Versace fall 2025! I wore a long black coat, black tights, and stilettos. It was Donatella’s final show, styled by the amazing Jacob K. It will always be a very special moment to me.
What has been your favorite job to date, and why?
