Jennifer Lopez Is Singlehandedly Bringing Back This ’00s Lash Trend

When it comes to red carpet beauty, Jennifer Lopez has an established glam squad at the ready. Whether it’s Tom Bachik on a satin-finish manicure, Ernesto Casillas’s celestial highlighting work, or Justine Marjan on her sleek, caramel brunette waves, the J-Lo brief is polished.

And so, Jennifer Lopez’s current press tour for her rom-com movie Office Romance has been running with the CEO-chic theme, beauty abundant. She’s appeared in a laser-cut archival Atelier Versace dress from the label’s spring 2004 couture collection, with high-gloss hair to match. A cinnamon-toned set of nails charmingly matched her Schiaparelli bag.

Appearing at the New York premiere last night, J-Lo opted for a sparkling floral Miss Sohee gown from the spring 2025 collection. Glam totally matched the statement-making, super feminine look.

Her hair was swept into a loose plait that cascaded down her back. “We wanted something romantic that would complement her dress and the movie, so ultimately decided on a soft, knotted low braid with wispy pieces around the face and perimeter,” explains Marjan. The sweet hair look follows a shiny and slick ponytail, and bouncy, brushed out curls.

Makeup matched the cool, floral tones too. Casillas dusted on a violet eyeshadow with pale, posy pink blush across the apples of her cheeks, with a muted brown sculpted contour. Highlight was patted into the high points of her face, and her lips were a suede-pink gloss. It was her eyelashes, though, that were the star of the show: The Cherry Stax set from Lashify. (And a firm celebrity fave, too: from Barbara Palvin to The White Lotus’s Meghann Fahy and Emily in Paris’s Ashley Park, celebrities are wearing Lashify.)

Spiky and determined, the Cherry Stax has a pointed pattern and curved shape that adds serious drama to the glam. It’s a lash look that feels very early ’00s, a Y2K look with an origin in K-beauty and anime aesthetics. While ghost lashes and lash serum-lengthened naturals continue to have their moment, J-Lo proves the enduring power of the statement, XXL lash.
