The couple also held a Chinese tea ceremony as a nod to their background. “I wore two custom couture cheongsams by Adrian Gan, designed as a deeply personal tribute to tradition, family, and heritage,” says Ann. While the first design for the ceremony was crafted in traditional red, an ivory gown was created as a nod to Greek architecture. “Both pieces were also customized with meaningful symbolic details, including our family members’ Chinese zodiac signs, as well as Brandon’s and mine, along with our favorite animals, plants, and other elements that felt personal to our story.”

The bride had always dreamed of being a Chanel bride, so she began her wedding day in a vintage piece from the fashion house. “I wore a 1996 vintage Chanel haute couture dress and cape with embroidered bow detailing, which felt like the perfect introduction to my Chanel wedding dress,” she shares. The ceremony gown was crafted by the atelier from scratch. “I always knew exactly how I wanted it to look—a mermaid silhouette with an off-shoulder neckline and a long train,” she says of the dress. “We enhanced classic Chanel elements with signature buttons lined down the back and camellia lace, finished with a simple long veil. It was simple, timeless, and fully reflective of who I am.”

After saying “I do,” the bride changed into a Schiaparelli haute couture dress designed by Daniel Roseberry with a wave-like asymmetrical hemline. The dress also became the inspiration for their organically sculpted cake design by Marble Cake Company, which was cut into as fireworks went off. As her final wedding day look, Ann changed into a Jean Paul Gaultier haute couture corset dress for the after-party. The bodice featured a dragon motif—a nod to the bride’s heritage—and the skirt was adorned with Swarovski crystals. “As I danced, it caught every light in the room and transformed the look into something luminous, celebratory, and alive,” she recalls.

The following day, Ann wore a custom dress from the Greek brand Di Petsa for their celebration at the beach. The designer is known for creating “wet dresses, where the fabric clings to the body as if it just emerged from water. “There was something poetic about it, celebrating love in a place defined by water, sun, and freedom while wearing a piece that captured that exact feeling in fabric form,” Ann shares. A final Chanel moment in swimwear form topped off her wedding wardrobe.

Brandon worked with Goldberg’s team to curate all his looks. “Everything was carefully coordinated to complement each of my outfits,” shares Ann. “He wore a combination of custom Zegna, custom Tom Ford, Brunello Cucinelli, and Saint Laurent.” He also wore a custom Adrian Gan look for the tea ceremony, adorned with dragon embroidery.

While the wedding day in Greece began with rain, there was a light drizzle as Ann made her walk down the aisle surrounded by white florals as the main theme of Howl’s Moving Castle played. “For most people, that might feel worrying, but in Chinese culture rain symbolizes blessing, luck, and wealth, so it felt meaningful,” she says. “The moment I saw Brandon waiting with our closest friends and family, I felt completely calm. It quickly turned into excitement and love. It felt like finally living a moment I had imagined for a long time.” The proceedings were officiated by Brandon’s godmother, who “spoke beautifully,” shares Ann. Once the ceremony ended, so did the rain. “There was a rainbow in the sky, which felt very special,” says the bride.
