Nobody in New York City is immune to Knicks mania—including Rihanna and A$AP Rocky.
While the stylish couple didn’t join the cadre of celebrities at Madison Square Garden for Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs (among the starry courtside sightings: Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner in coordinating Chrome Hearts; and Taylor Swift, Este Haim, and Alana Haim in punny slogan tees), they kept the same spirit up in Knicks colors.
Neither Rihanna nor Rocky opted for the full, in-your-face royal blue and tangerine combo. Instead, they each claimed one color, their outfits working in tandem to cheer on the Knicks.
Rih chose to rep the blue in a Canadian tuxedo—an indigo denim jacket and capris—which she styled with outsized aviators and her go-to lace-up Manolo Blahnik sandals. Rocky, meanwhile, rocked the orange in a silk satin Saint Laurent button-down shirt with a matching tie. On the bottom, he eschewed team colors altogether in a pair of muted chartreuse satin trousers.
Though Rihanna embraced blue for Game 4, she took a stab at orange earlier in the week. Supporting A$AP Rocky at the Tribeca Film Festival—and coinciding with Game 3—Rih went for a monochromatic moment: a velvet bodycon dress, styled with an oversized leather jacket and strappy lace-up sandals in the same subdued orange hue.
Between Rihanna’s subtle satsuma moment at Tribeca and her couple coordination with A$AP Rocky, she reminds us that team spirit takes many sartorial forms.
