When it comes to fitting her daily necessities into her purse, Alexandra Leclerc is a bit of a modern-day Mary Poppins. “My bags are usually way smaller, I love really tiny bags—the ones that are very impractical and can’t carry anything,” she tells Vogue. Despite this, she makes it work, never leaving home without her hairbrush, lip balm, a snack, and a little notebook. Carrying her more expansive Jacquemus Turisimo raffia shoulder bag only increases the possibilities.

For Leclerc, no item is too small or too frivolous. Many of them are sentimental, like a pair of miniature mannequins dressed in the outfits she and her now-husband, Charles Leclerc, wore to their engagement party or the place card from their civil wedding table with her new full name printed on it. There’s also a mini confetti cake from her friend’s shop in Monaco (a must for her daily 4 pm snack) and a collection of mini carousels (yes, really). Oh, and then there’s the Rhode blush she always keeps on her. And perhaps most important of all: a lint roller to pick up the fluffy blonde hairs from the couple’s beloved miniature dachshund, Leo. (He goes everywhere he can with them, and she’s stopped wearing black clothing for the most part, as a result.) Pretty standard stuff, really. Says Leclerc, “I think I just really take the bare minimum with me.”
