This past weekend in New York has been abuzz with celebrities hitting up the Met Gala 2026 pre-parties and events. Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet, instead, opted for a night at the theater with the rest of the Kardashian family and Chalamet’s mother Nicole Flender.
The couple attended a performance of The Fear of 13 at the James Earl Jones Theater on Broadway yesterday, which stars Adrian Brody and Tessa Thompson. (Kylie’s sister Kim Kardashian is now a producer of the show.) Both the Dune actor and beauty mogul kept to their own versions of comfy casuals for a few hours sitting in the theater. Chalamet wore a reissue of a 2006 Argentina soccer team away track jacket in blue, with navy combat trousers, a black baseball cap, and white high-top sneakers. Jenner, meanwhile, sported a beige knee-length trench, a black top and capri pants, some dark oval sunglasses, and her favorite pair of Manolo Blahnik thong heeled sandals.
It’s been a fun few days for Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet in his hometown of New York. Earlier in the week, the couple attended a New York Knicks game, sitting courtside in their Y2K bests—Jenner in archival Isabel Marant white denim with crystal embellishments, for one. The duo have never been one to do the matchy-matchy thing, instead sticking to their respective streetwear and elevated, sexy noughties styles.
Courtside at the Knicks was one of the first locations we saw the couple’s blossoming romance in true action. Since then, they took to awards season with aplomb, walking red carpets together and doing the glitzy gala circuit. Will this mark their Met Gala couple debut? Will they decide to coordinate? Both have worn some iteration of Haider Ackermann in the past, so they could go down that route with Tom Ford. Or maybe it’s a shared Schiaparelli moment—this is the “Fashion Is Art” year, so Jenner’s body-contouring style may win out. Watch this space—the space being the steps of the Met later today.
